Food Bank Friday 2022 – How much did we raise?

Once again we worked with the Newcastle West End Foodbank over the ‘Black Friday’ week to offer a donation direct from our stock to the Newcastle West End Foodbank with every order we took over £30.

We are delighted to announce we will be donating 4,857 items to the foodbank as a result of the Food Bank Friday 2022 campaign!

Since we started running this campaign we have donated 37,196 items to the Newcastle West End Food Bank! These items are donated directly from our stock, we work with the food bank to select what is needed the most when we deliver it. The food bank will receive many donations from the public and local businesses however it can be unpredictable what kind of items will be donated so by being able to select from our range they are able to fill any gaps needed as well as contribute to the totals of the most popular kind of items.

With the cost of living crisis hitting people hard we knew the demand at the foodbank would be even greater than in previous years so in order to help we asked our wonderful suppliers if they could contribute on top of our donation. We also offer a chance for you to make an extra donation in the checkout, whatever is donated through the checkout we add an additional 20% on top. This means they can get a steady stream of products from us, what they need, when they need. We donate everything from breakfast cereal, to eco friendly toothbrushes!
