Foodbank Friday 2025
From Thursday 20th November to Monday 1st December 2025, we’re once again partnering with the Newcastle West End Foodbank to support people in our local community.
For every order over £30, we’ll donate an item directly to the foodbank. We’re also offering a 20% discount* on all orders, no minimum spend required.
Progress so far
Since launching Foodbank Friday in 2015, we’ve donated more than 49,500 essential items to Newcastle West End Foodbank. Last year, with your help, we contributed 6,749 items, surpassing our previous total.
In 2025, we’re aiming to go even further. With your support, and the continued generosity of our suppliers, we’re confident we can make an even bigger difference.
About Newcastle West End Foodbank
Newcastle West End Foodbank is an anti-poverty charity dedicated to preventing and relieving hardship across Newcastle and the surrounding areas. Their work goes far beyond emergency food parcels — they provide affordable food options, practical welfare support, and pathways that help people move out of crisis.
Their vital work
Since opening in 2013, the organisation has grown from a single site in the west end of the city to a network of foodbank hubs across Newcastle. In response to rising demand, they’ve also expanded their welfare support programme, Pathways out of Hunger, and launched a series of Community Pantries that offer low-cost food to households in areas facing the greatest deprivation.
Together, these services provide essential, immediate help while also supporting long-term stability for individuals and families experiencing financial struggle.
What we supply
We focus on providing essential groceries and health products that are frequently in short supply.
This includes:
- soap and personal hygiene products
- period products
- baby food and formula
- household essentials
- other high-demand items requested directly by the foodbank
By supplying what’s needed most, we help make sure the foodbank can better support the diverse challenges faced by local families.
Year round support
Foodbank Friday is just one part of our ongoing commitment. Throughout the year, we continue to make regular contributions to Newcastle West End Foodbank – because the need doesn’t end after December.
Additionally, our checkout donation option allows you to contribute to one of seven charities, including the foodbank. When you choose to donate, we’ll boost your contribution by an extra 20%.
