Foodbank Friday 2023 – how much did we raise?

For the ninth year running, we collaborated with the Newcastle West End Foodbank during the ‘Black Friday’ week to make a direct donation from our warehouse for every order over £30.

We are thrilled to announce that our Foodbank Friday 2023 campaign has performed even better than last year and we will be donating 5,605 items to the foodbank.

Since we started the campaign in 2015, we are proud to have donated 42,801 items! These contributions come directly from our stock, and we collaborate closely with the foodbank to identify the most needed items for our deliveries.

While the foodbank receives numerous donations from the public and local businesses, the ability to choose from our range allows them to address specific gaps in their inventory and contribute to the overall availability of popular items.

With the current cost of living crisis impacting many, we anticipated a heightened demand at the foodbank. To help with this, we reached out to our fantastic suppliers, including Bio D, LoofCo, The Cheeky Panda, NORA, Who Gives a Crap, Montezuma’s, Green People and so many more to make extra contributions alongside our own donation.

Finally, we also offered you the opportunity to make an additional donation during checkout. For every donation made through the checkout, we added an extra 20%. This means that the foodbank can get a steady stream of products from us. We donate everything from breakfast cereal to period products.
