Homemade Fresh Yoghurt with EasiYo
There’s nothing more satisfying than making your own food from scratch. Not only do you know exactly what is in it, there’s also that sense of pride that comes from making something at home for yourself. For yoghurt lovers this is where the EasiYo yoghurt maker comes in – with one sachet of EasiYo you can make a litre of yoghurt that will keep for up to two weeks in your fridge.
EasiYo was created around 20 years ago by a school teacher in New Zealand with a growing family with eight hungry children to feed. With yoghurt being a great staple all around the world, he wanted to make a fresh yoghurt that wasn’t full of preservatives or had been sitting around on supermarket shelves for days. Thus EasiYo was born, a simple way to make your own fresh yoghurt at home that is delicious with a range of health benefits that will make you wonder why you’ve never done it before.
As a company EasiYo values sustainability as a core business principle and now hold CEMARS (Certified Emissions Measurement And Reduction Scheme) Certification for all powdered yoghurt sachets. This means the company takes accountability and action to reduce the greenhouse gas emissions generated for the lifecycle of the powdered products, offering a sustainable option for everyone.
So what makes EasiYo a healthy choice? First of all it’s a great source of calcium, with each cup delivering 30% or more of the recommended daily requirement for the average adult, while also containing natural fats providing energy and nourishment. The yoghurt is suitable for a vegetarian diet and is wheat and gluten free – the starch is derived from corn, any glucose is dextrose and the maltodextrin is tapioca. What’s more, EasiYo yoghurt is full of live lactic cultures that give yoghurt its delicious taste and texture – and there are low fat choices if you’re trying to cut down.
I know it sounds really daunting, making your own yoghurt – it’s something that sounds complicated and unnecessary when you can just buy it in the shops! However, EasiYo have made it almost impossibly easy – just watch this video showing the three easy steps to making your own delicious yoghurt.
You don’t just have to eat the yoghurt either, you can use it in cooking and baking. Plus, low fat Greek yoghurt is a great substitute for mayonnaise. Here are a couple of delicious recipes you can try with your favourite EasiYo yoghurt!
