Looking for a Halloween bake that’s equal parts spooky and delicious? These chocolate mummy biscuits are so good you’ll want to keep the recipe tightly under wraps! They’re soft, rich, and drizzled with tasty white chocolate bandages. They’re the perfect treat for Halloween parties or a cosy night in watching scary movies.

Best of all? They’re simple to make with just a handful of ingredients.

Mummy cookie recipe

Makes around 30 cookies.

Ingredients

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C and line a baking tray with a reusable baking liner.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, cocoa powder, bicarbonate of soda and baking powder.
  3. In a separate bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until smooth and fluffy.
  4. Beat in the eggs until fully incorporated.
  5. Add the dry ingredients into the butter mixture and combine into a chocolatey dough.
  6. Scoop around 1½ tablespoons of dough per biscuit, roll into balls, and press gently using the bottom of a glass to flatten.
  7. Bake for 8 minutes, then leave to cool completely.
  8. Melt the white chocolate slowly over a low heat.
  9. Drizzle or pipe the melted chocolate over the biscuits to create your spooky mummy bandages!
  10. Add little chocolate button or icing eyes
