Dragonfly Tea

Dragonfly Tea is a family owned British company, with a hundred years of tea experience, knowledge and history. They travel the world to find rare, artisanal brews and tea knowledge they can bring back and share with the world. They were the first to bring now well known teas like white tea, honeybush and rooibos to the British highstreet.

What are their values?

They believe that today the amount of fast food and the demand for it has lowered standards, they don’t want to adhere to this. They wish to conserve the traditional, sustainable methods of tea growth and production, so the future generations can enjoy and benefit from it. Dragonfly Tea also recognises the importance of relationships between them and the growers, or ‘tea friends’ as they call them. The good relationships they keep allow them to access many small, not well known locations which have some of the best, fairly traded, sustainable harvests.

They’re supporters of small-scale tea production and when possible they will work directly with the farmers themselves. To ensue tea flavours are perfect they try every new harvest. Dragonfly Tea makes sure their tea excludes artificial colourings, preservatives and additives, and their teas are GM-free. That’s not all, their tea bags and sachets do not include chlorine and their boxes and envelopes are recyclable. Additionally sachets are also biodegradable and compostable.

Dragonfly Tea’s ‘Dragonfly Speciality’ range is certified by The Organic Food Federation and are members and supporters of:

  • The Fair Trade Foundation
  • Rainforest Alliance
  • Slow Food Movement

We’ve spoken about them and their wonderful tea enough now, why not try one of their great teas for yourself?
