Three cans of suma kombucha in varying flavours

Discover Suma’s organic kombuchas

Suma’s food and drink range does more than fill the fridge – it fuels community, supports ethics, and delights the senses. That’s why we’re thrilled to showcase their Organic Kombuchas. These sparkling, gut-happy brews align with Suma’s co-operative values and taste genuinely delicious.

Brewed locally

Suma’s kombuchas are brewed locally, just a few miles from their Elland HQ, using time-honoured fermentation methods. They’re vegan, palm-oil free, made without artificial sweeteners, and always packaged in fully recyclable cans.

Three signature flavours

When Suma first developed their kombuchas, they aimed to cater to three distinct groups: the kombucha traditionalists, the health-conscious crowd, and those completely new to the drink.

As Nigel, their product developer, put it:

“The supplier impressed with its artisan and traditional methods… key to cater for 3 distinct markets.”

Here’s how that vision comes to life in their core flavours.

Ginger

A classic. Zesty and warming, this green tea-based kombucha has a fizzy kick of ginger that’s perfect for those new to kombucha or anyone craving a spicy twist.

Peach & turmeric

A golden elixir. Sweet peach meets earthy turmeric for a deeply refreshing brew that’s also award-winning; Best Drink at the Veggie Awards, Silver at Farm Shop & Deli, and Gold at the Vegan Food & Living Awards.

Strawberry & raspberry

Fruity and floral. Hibiscus rounds out this blend of tart raspberries and sweet strawberries for a refreshing, berry-forward treat.

The range expanded

They didn’t stop at three. Seasonal favourites like elderflower & lemon, lychee & lemongrass, and Cola are part of their expanding range. Each one is thoughtfully crafted and ethically brewed.

What’s really in your kombucha?

Suma are proud to say their kombucha is the real deal. That means:

  • No fake shortcuts
  • No hidden sugars post-fermentation
  • No artificial flavourings

They start with organic green tea, raw cane sugar, and a healthy kombucha culture (SCOBY), ferment it the traditional way, and add only natural botanicals. It’s kombucha as it should be.

At Suma, transparency matters so they list ingredients clearly and honestly.

Low in calories, big on benefits

Each 250 ml can contains just 14–17 calories and 2.7–3.3 g of sugar. That means you get:

  • Light, fizzy refreshment
  • Natural probiotics and organic acids
  • A grown-up alternative to fizzy drinks or alcohol

Whether sipped straight from the fridge or stirred into a vibrant mocktail, Suma’s kombucha is a delicious way to support your gut and your mood.
