Why go natural?

In the run up to World Bee Day, we’re delighted for Jonathan Stead, founder of natural skincare brand Our Tiny Bees to share his thoughts on why to make the move to natural skincare.

Humble beginnings

From our humble, and dare I say it, naïve beginnings around 12 years ago, I was pretty chuffed at the three hand made lip balms I’d rustled up in the kitchen, carefully and proudly labelled ‘our tiny lip balms’ in permanent marker pen. 

Fast forward 12 years and we are a 100% natural skincare company, stocking shops up and down the UK and have a lovely large unit in an Old Mill in Holmfirth, Yorkshire where I still make everything myself by hand.

100% natural ingredients

It’s been a pretty interesting journey but one thing has always been at the forefront of the business as it’s grown, and that is our dedication to 100% natural ingredients.

Just like in the food world, we seem to have moved a long way away from simple wholesome goodness. I wanted to change that and so I slowly developed a 100% natural skincare range that aims to work as nature intended to moisturise and nurture skin, whilst also avoiding the estimated 120 chemicals the average person puts on their skin each day.

So, with our complete range of head to toe skincare, from soaps to lip balms, body oils to bath melts, and healing slaves to hand and foot balms – we have you covered.
