Motivation tips and ideas for working out

Motivation Tips to Work Out

We all need a little bit of motivation when it comes to working out. We may start out with the best intentions but after maybe a week or two of religiously going to the gym your resolve starts to fail and you’d much rather relax on the sofa after a long work day. There’s nothing wrong with that, we all need to relax and you should absolutely never punish yourself or feel bad, but if you do want to get a little bit fitter in time for summer then we have a few tips to get yourself motivated!

One of the best motivation tips is to get yourself some new gym gear that you want to show off to all the other gym-goers and park-runners. We’ve got some beautiful pieces from Asquith, which are made from bamboo and organic cotton – great for the environment and comfortable too! The fabric is moisture wicking so will keep you cool and comfortable during any work out, and it’s really stylish too!

If you don’t trust yourself to work out alone then get a motivation buddy! I go to the gym with my sister and it really helps because I know if she’s going, I’ll go! It can make it a bit more fun too – for example you can have a nice conversation on the treadmills and spur each other on!

Join a gym close to home

Joining a gym close to home or that’s on the way home from work is great too. It means you don’t have to go out of the way to have a good work out and you’re more likely to have the motivation go! There are also some gyms which have classes included in the price so sign up to class to get fit.

If you struggle for time, have a look around for a High Intensity Interval Training workout plan. These are quick bursts designed to work your whole body and only last about 20 minutes – there’s probably a class you can join!

Treat yo’self

The best way to motivate yourself to workout is be treating yourself when you hit a milestone. Not necessarily with food, but maybe buy yourself something new, or get a new haircut – anything you want!
