Pack Your Bags Love…

We’re going away.

I love September, it’s definitely one of my favourite months of the year. The summer heat may have faded, but the nights are still light and the weather should still be warm enough to pad about a British “Staycation” city of your choice.

There are so many great places to stay around the UK and when the kids have gone back to school, the prices start to drop, it’s not so crowded – the perfect time to escape as a couple and enjoy “us time”.

Him First

A great weekend bag is big enough to house everything that’s needed but will always look stylish too. I adore this Recycled Tyre weekender.

It’s a fab use of a material that otherwise would sit about in landfill for just about forever. Fully lined and made from tyres in fair trade conditions at £46.96 it’s really great value for money too.

My husband has a bit of an obsession for collecting all the little bottles of washing products whenever we stay anywhere. Personally, it’s rare that I can use these products, packed as they mostly are with ingredients which make me itch and scratch.

There’s none of that with the Bulldog range. The 200ml original shower gel is £4.25, doesn’t contain any unnecessary extra nasties so I can use it too.

For Her

The colour Maroon is all over the high street this A/W and this beautiful Fair Trade Classic Trench Coat is right on trend.

A girl must always have a great trench coat in their classic wardrobe. Smart and stylish, it’s made from woven dosuti cotton that is warm and yet breathable.

Made to last season after season £100

Dresses are my own personal wardrobe staple and I really, really, really like this stripy People Tree Jersey dress. I’d wear it with boots, flats, heels, leggings or tights depending on the weather and where I was off to. Made from 100% cotton under Fairtrade conditions in India, at £65 it’s well priced and should last you all the way through until late spring 2013.

I don’t like to carry too many beauty products on a weekend away so a slick little lipgloss such as this Nude version from BM Beauty, made from natural minerals, vegan and is free from harsh chemicals is just the job. £12 for 8ml tube.
