Live Earth

Keen eyed readers will have spotted the banner in the right hand side bar for Live Earth.

Click on the banner and you can find out how many tonnes of CO2 you’re adding to the atmosphere and you can make pledges to reduce it.

Live Earth has been orgnised to raise awareness of climate issues and the main event is a series of concerts taking place on all seven continents this Saturday. With gigs in Rio de Janiero, New York, London, Hamburg, Istanbul, Sydney, Johannasburg, Shanghai and Tokyo the aim is to raise awareness of climate change.

The coolest gig will be the one hosted at the British Antarctic Survey’s Rothera Research Station where five piece indie rock band Nunatak will play to an audience of 17.

If you’ve got Google Earth, then this is the location:

If you’ve not got Google Earth, get Google Earth. We like maps here at How Ethical! and if I write about something that you can get on Google Earth then I’ll provide you with a link so you can check it out.

So, this Saturday, get involved – make sure you tune in and join the other 2 billion people who will be watching over 100 artists, including Beastie Boys, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Madonna, Razorlight and Foo Fighters.
