Bio-D: their story

Bio-D’s founder, Michael Barwell worked in the shipping industry in the 1980’s.

To carry out his job properly and adhere to health and safety protocol, he had to wear full personal protective equipment, including a respirator. He looked at the ingredients of the products he used at home and realised that they were too like those he used at work.

As a member of Greenpeace, he felt there must be a better alternative to discharging these harmful materials into the environment and our homes. At this point Bio-D was born.
