I was really hopeful that this coffee cup would suit our needs, however the quality was so poor that I paid to send this back. I do not recommend this product as the plastic top isn't secure and it leaked when I filled it with water. If you are looking for a travel mug to keep something warm (not hot) for 30minutes or so, then this would work. If you are looking for something that is secure and can be tossed in a backpack, and will keep tea or hot chocolate hot, then this isn't the one for you.
