I use this Suma product for making lentil flatbreads. Delicious-and the only other ingredient is water! Soak and blend and cook a ladle full for each flatbread in a non stick pan - can be frozen but you will find they disappear quickly.

Really nice quality red lentils that are so versatile. I tend to use them when making quiche fillings and for lentil loaves. They also make a nice mock goose from a 1940s recipe!rnThey take on lots of flavour and I find they don’t need much rinsing before using either, unlike supermarket brands.

Wonderful for lentil dhal or in a thick tomato and lentil soup.

Lovely versatile ingredient for many soups, stews dahls etc. Takes on other flavours really well. Can just be chucked into your pan, no soaking needed. I love suma's credentials, but I find the packaging can split on opening.

Q: Does this product require soaking before cooking and if so, for how long?
A: These Red Split Lentils need to be washed in cold water, and then boiled in unsalted water for 20 - 30 minutes. I hope this helps, Robyn.
