Really disappointing that a basic staple food such as rice is cross contaminated with a long list of common and serious allergens such as nuts. Sadly Suma is a company to avoid if you have a food allergy - such a shame that they do not take better care in the production and packaging of food, especially everyday basics. Very frustrating.

I haven't used it yet. I love making risotto and I like Suma products for their fair trade and eco credentials. The bag split open in my delivery so that's why I haven't given it a great mark although I was pleased to see that the "plastic" bag it came in is recyclable.

Better than Mama made. But Mama came from Yorkshire and never knowingly made Risotto. I have eaten all over Italy, and using this rice as a base, I can achieve outstanding results....he modestly said.

I agree with the other reviewer that the packaging is a little frustrating, but it does store well in airtight containers. It cooks really well and tastes nice.
A really nice arborio that makes creamy rissotos. Seems to store well so buying in bulk is a good option. I personally find the packaging annoying. Its brittle and the packets are difficult to open leading to splits. Also no cooking directions on the packaging. But great rice.
