Shiitake mushrooms are East Asian in origin, but go great with a wide variety of Asian and non-Asian foods and sauces. You can use these to make delicious gravies, soups, stews or use them as a side for a meat dish. Shiitake mushrooms have a delicious earthy taste and a thick texture that makes them ideal for replacing meat in vegetarian dishes. Each of these mushrooms is completely free from any and all preservatives and artificial flavourings.
