I use it as a meat substitute for myself and my dogs. Good quality product.

This is useful as it is vegan plus gluten free, we use it to make chilli. The base flavour can be quite strong though, would prefer it to be more bland if possible

Veggie mince can be bland and soggy but this has a good texture on the right side of chewy. It about doubles in size when you add an equivalent amount of water / stock, as most minces do, and it did need a slightly stronger concentration of stock to get the more robust weight of flavour like I like. However, this one goes to the top of my store cupboard list.

Delicious! Made a brilliant vegetarian shepherds' pie. This is the best soya mince I have used yet in my 32 years of vegetarianism. I really was not expecting it to be so tasty as I've had experienced pretty bland tvp meals in the past so tend not to use it often. That's changed now and this will be a weekly staple.

Our simple recipe for success: We soaked the tvp in vegetable stock (about 30 mins) then added to onions lightly frying in a little coconut oil. Added thickly sliced carrots and about a teaspoon of vegetarian gravy granules. Cooked for a further 10 minutes. Put the mixture in a casserole dish, topped with mashed potato and put in the oven at 200 C until the top browned and crisped up (about 40 minutes). Absolutely delicious. Seriously, one of the best meals this year!

(NB I cook by eye, so all of the above is approximate in quantities and time. You may want to adjust to your preference)

I personally find quorn disgusting - too chewy and meat-textured. If you're looking for something to make you think it's actually meat, this is possibly not the vege mince for you. It is very delicious though, so I would urge you to try it anyway and accept it's not trying to be meat ;)
