I find it quite strong - potentially too drying for my hair (which is normal) so don't use it for everyday, just when travelling

I recently decided to switch to using soap bars (rather than liquid soap) and was a bit dubious, as I have long, curly hair and thought they might dry it out. I'm so glad I decided to try this one, as it works great! Smells lovely and cleans my hair without making it dry or tangled.

I like the idea, but for me this made my hair like straw- there are other brands which work much better.

I like the smell of the soap and it is a natural product, I just use a small amount from it not to be too soapy my hair.

These bars are a little hard work at first but they're cheap, plastic free, work all over the body and are perfectly travelling. I've also noticed after 4 months of using (and no hair cut!) I have a lot fewer split ends than normal and my hair is less brittle. I love the natural wave it brings back to my hair. You also have to wash your hair less - about once every 4-5 days rather than 2-3. Some tips: An apple cider vinegar rinse does help soften the hair, dilute 1 tbs in 400ml. I believe the waxy feeling people get isnt residue or grease, its actually about the structure of your hair surface under different phs, alkali makes the hair strand stick out, acv rinse counters this and gets you back to your natural ph of 4-5, hence smoothing it. For travel purposes and ease Ive started experimenting with a witch hazel spray after washing - i.e. spray a bit of distilled witch hazel on after washing and brush through. Witch hazel is acidic and seems to have a similar effect.

No problems here. Just make sure you lather it up well before applying to the hair. Left with soft, shiny, clean hair.

I have used the product three times for hair washing. The first and third time it left my hair feeling tacky and there was a deposit on the brush. The first time I rinsed my hair the following day, but it felt better but not as I would like it. The second time I rinsed my hair thoroughly spending longer in the shower than usual and it was squeaky clean. The third time, despite spending longer in the shower to rinse, there was no improvement on the first session. I usually wash my hair at intervals of a week to a month. As a hand soap it is lovely to use and I may try a fourth time lathering it in my hand before applying.

Smells nice and laters well, but after 2 uses has given me a very greasy scalp as it strips all oils from the hair. Far too harsh for me. Will have to repurpose and won't be buying again.

This was the first shampoo bar I had tried and had read that you need to give your hair some time to adjust...that it just feels like there is something coating your hair at first. Well, let me tell you that this does actually leave residue in your hair no matter how much you rinse. I've used two bars of this now over the last few months. After a few days the residue collects on my straighteners...on my hair brush...on my comb. If I blow dryed my hair it felt stiff. The only way to have half decent hair was to let it dry naturally and then straighten. rnrnI give it two stars because, yes my hair was clean and yes it was in an ok state. But I've just switched to another brand and have unbelievably light and soft hair.

I have been using a high street shampoo bar for 2 years and tried this (and others) as an alternative and cheaper option. Unfortunately, it just made my hair waxy. I left it but by the end of the day my hair was greasy and needed washing again. After reading other reviews, i had wondered if the waxiness was from the adjustment to shampoo bars so I gave it a go knowing I had already been through that when I first switched 2 years ago to the high street brand. When I got the waxiness with this shampoo bar, I tried another brand (not the high street bar) and there was no waxiness.

I love this shampoo bar and so does my hair (I have fairly fine hair, almost shoulder length and live in a soft water area). Good value for money too. No plastic packaging either.

I have mid length hair. Although the bar smells nice and lathers up well, when trying to rinse out the lather, my fingers get stuck in my hair, it feels like my hair has turned to plastic. I have to apply copious amounts of conditioner afterwards in order to get my fingers through my hair again. I shampoo my hair every day and after a few days my hair really started to feel stiff and almost like it was clogged up. I've reverted to another well known (more expensive) brand of shampoo soap today, and it's lovely, my fingers get through my hair with ease and when dry my hair is lovely and soft again. Saying all this, my husband has very short hair and seems to be getting on well with it. So, perhaps works best for those with very short hair.

I've just washed my hair with this. It lathers up really well. I haven't used any type of conditioner but my hair feels very soft . My scalp doesn't seem to be irritated by shampoo bars.

I am totally comverted to shampoo bars. They are eco friendly and have lasted ages so far so even saving me money. My hair is short so it is easier and have been told by my wife that it is less convenient for longer hair.

I really wanted to like this product as it seems a great way to reduce plastics in the home but after reading previous reviews I was a bit sceptical. However, I'm pleased to say that after two uses I'm really impressed. It lathers really well (although I only have short hair) and my hair felt clean and smelt lovely. Will definitely carry on using with a diluted ACV spray after.

This works great on my frizzy curly dry hair. It lathers really well and is easy to massage in. According to their website hair can take a while to adjust to the use of shampoo bars esp in hard water areas, the first time I used this my hair felt gunky and sticky; so I rinsed afterwards with very dilute apple cider vinegar in a spray bottle and my hair felt amazing afterwards, no need for conditioner hair is much less frizzy and super clean and shiny.

I was excited to use this shampoo bar but I have used it a couple of times and my hair does not feel fully clean, the bars leave residual substances in your hair which feels weird. I have stayed longer under hot water with the hope that when I get out of the shower I feel the soap has really gone but it really has not worked out for me. I will keep trying other brands with similar plastic free packaging.

Excited to give this a try and reduce using things in plastic bottles

Leaves my hair literally greasebound, it doesn’t wash out so you have to shampoo your hair all over again. I have fine, naturally straight hair. I really wanted to like this but if you have fine hair I definitely wouldn’t recommend. Smells nice.

Thrilled with this! I used to have to wash my hair every three days or so. Now, it's still looking good - even in prolonged sweaty 30 degree weather! - after 5 days or more. I rinse with cider vinegar and leave that in, counteracting the alkaline shampoo bar and leaving my hair soft. I'll definitely be coming back for more.

I was skeptical but really does clean the hair well and quickly! No plastics in packaging really good quality and smells okay! I would recommend this to anyone!

Lathers up well, but not good on very fine hair -. Works fine on thicker hair, but need to use a detangler as well

I love this!! I’ve been tempted to give shampoo bars a try for a while and this is my first one. I have long hair and have been using high street brands pretty much all my life. I was therefore expecting my hair to be quite greasy to start with. My hair has been in better condition from the first use and actually less greasy than usual. rnrnThe only difference I have found with not using a conditioner is that my hair is quite knotty after washing and requires longer to comb through. Not an issue however, so glad I’m getting rid of the plastic bottles and harsh ingredients.

Lasts quite a while and as good as any shampoo in a bottle I've tried. Comes in cardboard box so no plastic.

I LOVE this shampoo bar. I have long, quite thick hair that is curly with a tendency to frizz if its washed with a harsh shampoo. I've read a lot of reviews regarding shampoo bars and find a lot of women say they leave their hair feeling lanky and looking greasy. I've used this twice in a row, no conditioner afterwards and my hair feels amazing. No residue, no lanky heavy greasy feel or look. I highly recommend this product and I will be buying it again. If I had anything to say to improve I would suggest a bit more lavender and geranium essential oil to enhance the fragrance which I found so subtle it almost wasn't there, but it would not stop me re-purchasing. I'm keen on trying their other ones too.
