Debated for a long time which recycled product to buy in this category. The outer wrap is biodegradable,. The toilet paper tears well along the perforations. Its not the very softest but I never bought luxury versions anyway. It stands up to its designated use!

Recycled tissue is often very thin meaning you end up using more. This is a little on the thin side in comparison to more luxurious supermarket brands but is nowhere near as thin as some eco brands. Will definitely buy again!

Great that it's made in the UK, so less of a transportation carbon footprint than other choices that arrive from China via Australia. Great that the packaging is biodegradable. These were my main factors in choosing this product. It would be nice if Ecoleaf could work on the thickness. It is a little on the thin side as others have said, but it depends on what you're used to.

I am so disappointed in this toilet paper. It's eco credentials are great, however, the paper is only one thickness so you have to use more than you would normally do with a 2 ply..... therefore not economical in any sense.rnReturning to Cheeky Panda as we love that.
Very impressed with this toilet paper. Comes in compostable packaging. Best value for money I have had so far with recycled toilet paper. It is more 2ply feeling than 3ply feeling so wouldn’t say it is too thin.
To be honest, I prefer bamboo toilet paper but my old Victorian toilet cant handle it- so this recycled paper is the next best thing. Getting a case of 5 is such good value for money, for 2 people we only need to buy one case every few months

I like the fact that the packaging isn't traditional plastic and will degrade more easily but the toilet tissue itself is bit flimsy. I know it's to break up when it's in the drainage system but not before. Tears in strips when you're loosening off the beginning of the roll.

I ordered a case of 5 of the above packs. One of the reasons I chose Ecoleaf is that the packaging is 100% compostable. However if the pack of 5 is then encased in a non-compostable plastic sack it makes the whole exercise completely redundant. Very annoyed. Suma needs to reconsider it's packaging.

I intended to order Nouvelle recycled loo roll & bought this thinking Nouvelle had re-branded. I was obviously wrong & this product, whilst pleasantly soft, is not nearly as absorbent meaning you use a LOT more each time. This rather negates the point of using recycled loo roll!
It's unacceptable nowadays for any toilet roll manufacturer to use cardboard tubes wider than the bare minimum, otherwise lorries are just transporting a whole lot of empty space around the country which is killing us all slowly. The cardboard tubes on these are like drainpipes - what a waste.

I really needed a chlorine-free product for my allergic dermatitis. This one seems to be ok. My allergic reaction is not completely gone, but I'm probably reacting to something else as well. Myself and my mother both have an allergy to toilet paper and when we saw this was bleach free we thought we might try to see if it would help. We have both been so pleased with the results our allergy has imporved. Its does the job it needs to while being body friendly - you dont get all those fibres coming off and its plenty soft enough and strong enough. Please dont do anything to change this toilet!!!!! This is a two-ply paper (i.e. two layers thick) therefore its not luxurious, and you do use more than with a luxury paper. I think all the recycled brands are like this (though from memory i think naturellle might be a bit thicker). It is also less soft than premium brands, but it does the job fine.

Thanks for your query. The packaging for these toilet rolls are made from Bioplast, which is a plasticise-free and fully compostable material. It is made from potato starch, is sustainable and renewable. It will biodegrade totally under non-toxic industrial composting conditions with the influence of soil-based microorganisms.
