Alternative by Suma Handmade Soap - Lemongrass & Chamomile - 95g

Love the smell!

Pleasant scent, but not strong. Lather's fairly well and lasts OK. As noted by another reviewer, I try to stand soaps on end which allows them to dry more and stops them getting mushy, and hence they last longer.

Great quality, lovely smell, lasts well.

I have been a Suma soap user since I was at uni in the 90s and used to buy it from a wholefood shop near my house. I love the fresh fragrance of this soap and how gentle it is on my hands. I suffer from very dry skin and eczema on my hands but I think the chamomile in this helps with that. (It might not be so gentle if you are sensitive to essential oils though, as some with eczema are.) I assume it's because these soaps are palm oil free that they can go a bit mushy and therefore be used up quite fast (hence 4 stars instead of 5) but I get round this by standing the bars on end or on their side to dry out in between uses.

I rarely make negatives reviews but sadly I have to say I am very disappointed with the ‘Suma’ Alternative handmade soap bars. I bought 4 x different fragrances at the end of November 2020 and they all smelled amazing. My criticism is, that one bar only lasts just over 1 x week used by 1 x person !! They just turned into sludge and ended up in lumps down the plughole.. This was the same for all fragrances and is not very ethical at all in my opinion, just costly. I won’t be buying them again

I AM NEVER BUYING SUMA PRODUCTS EVER AGAIN. I paid for this and as soon as i used this i had dry itchy hands and i am sensitive to one of the synthetic ingredients in here, the reason i buy natural or vegan soap bars is because the chemical ones make my hands super dry ( radox and imperial leather have made my hands have a crusty feeling or a dry peeling scaly feeling and i never get that horrible feeling with dr bronners or 100 percent vegan products and i never get dry hands with dr bronners , unfortunantly i will not be buying this soap amde by suma again because of the nasty chemicals that made my hands peelrnrn THEY USED TO BE OK BUT HAVE CHANGED ALL THEIR PRODUCTS AND HAVE GONE DOWN HILL . THE QUALITY HAS DROPPED A LOT. I AM SO DISSAPOINTED EVERYTHING I GOT FROM SUMA SINCE NOVEMBER HAS BEEN A HUGE LET DOWN IN QUALITY,rn I=

Ideal for the purpose with none of the nasty ingredients

Obvious use. Package on 1 trip of soaps was broken but they are individually wrapped so selling them separately!
