Timaná is a municipality located in the South of Huila, Colombia, surrounded by the Central and Cordillera Central and Occidental ranges of the Colombian Andes. The ASPROTIMANA co-operative was formed by 32 farmers in 2001, and now boasts over 220 members with a common goal to create socio-economic stability for coffee farming families in the region.
Chirinos is a co-operative of smallholder coffee farmers in Amazonas, North Peru. In 1968, 36 smallholder farmers joined together to form this co-operative and today they boast over 807 members, of which 30% are women, from several communities in Cajamarca region.
