The original recipe for this Malawi Gold Sauce by Ukuva iAfrica was collected by a traveller in Africa. "As I made my way down Lake Malawi, I watched the local fishermen ply their trade. While the men are out fishing, the women concoct their magical Malawi Gold - a thick, golden sauce prepared in a hand beaten copper wok over an open fire. When the men return, the fresh fish is added to this sauce, served with boiled rice and eaten around the embers of the fire as they share the stories of their day." This is a ready to use condiment or dipping sauce that is easy to pour and has visible pieces of coriander and chilli with a strong citrus and vinegar flavour. This is a medium to hot sauce which may not be suitable to small children.
Spirit vinegar, water, chilli (7%), canola oil, carrots (5%), sweet potato, cane sugar, coriander (4%), garlic, onion, salt, turmeric, citric acid (E330), stabiliser (xanthan gum), potassium sorbate (E202), sodium benzoate (E211).
Refrigerate after opening. Use within 3 months once opened.
