Chilli & Garlic Beer Bread Mix - 450g

A vegan bread mix flavoured with chilli and garlic which between them have benefits like relieving arthritis and lowering cholesterol. The kit contains all of the dry ingredients necessary for making this delicious bread - enough to make one standard loaf tin. All you need to do is add 330ml of your favourite brew, and it doesn't have to be beer if that's not your thing, this mix works with cider, soft drinks or soda water instead. The mix comes in a calico bag hand sewn by South African charity Deaf Hands at Work with labels from environmentally friendly paper.

The beer bread mix is packed by the ladies of the Ukama Community Foundation, and the bag is handcrafted, reusable and created by the women of Deaf Hands and Work.

Free from soya, palm oil, GMOs, artificial flavours, artificial colours and artificial preservatives. Suitable for vegans and vegetarians.

1. Pre-heat oven to 190˚
2. Pour entire contents of Barrett�s Ridge Garlic & Chilli into a bowl.
3. Add 1 x 330 ml beer at room temperature.
4. Stir until the batter is thoroughly mixed through.
5. Scrape batter into a buttered loaf tin.
6. For an extra crispy crust, brush your loaf with melted butter before baking.
7. Bake for approximately 45 minutes.
