Product Description
The softening salt works to maintain the function of the softening equipment in the dishwasher which absorbs calcium and magnesium ions to keep your dishwasher in top condition.
The production of the dishwasher salt is carbon neutral.
Usage: Place the softening salt in the corresponding reservoir of your dishwasher. Make sure that the dishwasher is set to your regional water hardness range. Information on your water hardness can be obtained from your water bill or from your water provider.

I find this one to last the longest in our dishwasher. Even though it's more expensive I think it's better value for money and more convenient. As another poster says, don't leave any left overs in the paper bag or it can get a little damp.
