This is the best bushcraft book for children that I have come across. It is beautifully illustrated and the projects are simple, practical and fun and make the most of our natural UK woodlands. The book covers a lot including fire-craft, natural medicines, art, camouflage, pottery, camp-side cooking, shelter building and outdoor games e.g. making a giant grass rope swing. It is suitable for all ages. We have used this book within our own family and also with groups of children. The authors' recollections of their time living wild in the American wilderness are informative and sometimes very amusing. Brilliant book.

Q: What is the minimum age and/or the recommended age for this item please?
A: Hi,
Thanks for the query. There is not recommended age and many of the projects are suited to a variety of age groups. This book would be suited for child 5 years and older, providing that there is adult supervision at all times.
