It is a C6 lino print greetings card, left blank for your own greeting, packed in a strong cardboard envelope which holds seeds for bees, a plant label and a mini leaflet on gardening for bees. Easy-to-grow blue Phacelia flowers and a mini leaflet gives ideas on bee gardening, along with a guide to different pollen colours for some common flowering plants.

The easy-to-grow Phacelia seeds included are very popular with bees and other pollinating insects. Phacelia (Phacelia Tanacetiflia) is a half hardy annual and can be sown directly into a sunny flowering site from March onwards. Phacelia thrives in most soils and produces beautiful, lavender blue flowers and dense ferny foliage. The plants make good ground cover and as an added bonus, their extensive root system improves soil structure. The flowers are rich in nectar and are visited by profusion of pollinating insects.

Filberts has grown from three generations of British farmers whose proximity to nature runs through the heart of why the business started in 2008. Handmade in batches from 100 to 1000 units in their production premises in Dorset, their products offer an alternative to the trend for branded goods made by outsourced contractors. They make from scratch, starting by gently heating and filtering blocks of beeswax as they come in from the field. With regular inspection by Environmental Health and Trading Standards. Quality control includes full traceability of ingredients and approved product safety testing. They follow laid-down procedures with almost zero waste.
