This collection was created by Aya Mobaydeen, an illustrator from Amman, Jordan, in collaboration with Amnesty International UK, in solidarity with the pride and resilience of the Palestinian people. “My art draws inspiration from the beauty and diversity of my surroundings. I incorporate vibrant colours, patterns, and narratives to tell stories that spread positivity. I aim to contribute to a visual dialogue that resonates with people, using my illustrations to share stories and promote a positive message.”
The current crisis in Gaza represents the sharp end of Israel’s system of apartheid, a deliberate set of policies designed to fragment, dispossess, segregate and deprive Palestinians of their basic rights. Amnesty is campaigning to end Israeli apartheid.

Founded in London in 1961, Amnesty International is an international non-governmental organization focused on human rights. They work to protect people wherever justice, freedom, truth and dignity are denied.

The stated mission of the organization is to campaign for "a world in which every person enjoys all of the human rights enshrined in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and other international human rights instruments."

Amnesty draws attention to human rights abuses and it campaigns for compliance with international laws and standards. It works to mobilize public opinion to generate pressure on governments where abuse takes place.
