Ecoleaf Concentrated Washing Powder - 10kg

Bought again after using for whites washing for over a year.
I use less than instructions suggest, but if heavy staining I do a pre wash.
Everything seems to stay white and smells pleasant.

Awful!! Considering throwing the remainder away. I've persisted but really dislike this. Goes hard in the sink when I use it to remove stains in my butler sink, and also in the drawer,very dusty product , white marks on clothes,and worst of all it does not clean properly.

Firstly the smell is AMAZING and I wanted it to be good. The size is also great. The help desk at Ecoleaf have been brilliant, lots of questions and we've even sent back a sample as they wanted to investigate further.

However, the major issues have been:

CLOTHES: White marks all over

USAGE: Went hard in the drawer - had to use boiling water and a knife to get it free. Used in the drum and it turned into hard clumps. Made my hands itch on contact.

CLOTH NAPPIES: All of our cloth nappies and wraps started leaking , but after 2 years of success we were confused.
On advice from a cloth nappy specialist we strip washed the nappies - this involves the first one hour wash being a 60degree wash with no detergent, just water. After TWO of these washes, bubbles and detergent were still coming out. It took two further 60degree two hour just water cycles to get rid of all the powder. After using another detergent (not eco very sadly, we've resorted to Fairy for the nappies) the nappies and wraps were back to normal and stopped leaking. We did this for the last few loads of clothes and detergent was still present. Prior to this we'd cleaned the washing machine just in case this was the issue.

Very sad about this we love other Ecoleaf products but the powder had so many issues!

the good thing about a non bio is that you can control the chemicals a bit more. this powder is efficient up to a point - we add an in wash stain remover for a deeper, biological clean. we intuit the amount to scoop (don't use the stain manufacturers guide-it's too much, wasteful and an irritant!); less for the kids load, more for the adults socks!if you have mucky clothes you will need some kind of in-wash, especially if someone has been unwell and you don't want to boil the fabric. it is by far the most cost effective eco powder we have found with no discounts and as a busy, mucky, sweaty eco-family we approve. we decant into a tub for easier day to day and store in a dark, dry space. will harden slightly if stored in glass jars. Dosing - use your third, pre-wash tray as it all goes into the same wash, or add directly into the drum. pleasant gentle woody scent.

Comes in a paper bag/box, and is heavy!!! but this is good really because it lasts ages! Like others here I put it in a doser within the drum, as we had tried putting it in the tray and must have put too much in and it went rock hard (easy to break out tho!). No smell that we can detect but cleans well, no streaks like other powders I have used.

The powder did not easily feed through into the machine but this was overcome by feeding direct into the drum.

Lovely product

It's ok, cleans dark coloured clothes well enough but doesn't touch mud stains on my children's lighter coloured clothes. Even used with bio D bleach didn't do anything on a 40 degree lights wash. Unfortunately will have to stick to ordinary non bio for better cleaning. Nice enough smell. I also did a wool wash using this powder and it left a black jumper covered in white marks so it's not great for shorter/more gentle washes either.

Love this item. Lovely fragrance without being overpowering, and really effective for getting rid of stains etc on my washing. Love to be able to get this to refill a smaller size container too.
