Zaytoun Extra Virgin Olive Oil is a rich and peppery cold pressed Palestinian oil, organically grown and fairly traded. Delicious for dressings and all kinds of cooking, Zaytoun's Olive Oil made from hand-picked olives and prepared with care, for your table. Naturally organic and ethically sourced from small-scale farmers in the West bank, this was the worlds first olive oil to be awarded Fairtrade certification in 2009. Produced from rain-fed and hand-picked olives, the extra virgin oil connects you with farmers whose ancestors have tended their trees by hand for countless generations.

Please note, due to a bad olive harvest this year in Palestine, and a surge in demand in the UK, Zaytoun are facing stock shortages of Certified Fairtrade and Organic olive oil. In the meantime, the producer members of the Palestine Fair Trade Association supply chain who are not certified, are keen to maintain the export market for Palestinian olive oil and the crucial link established for more than 15 years with UK customers.

Zaytoun is a social enterprise established to support marginalised farming communities in Palestine through fair trade, and which reinvests all its profits in this mission. They offer a range of high quality products that are ethically sourced, sustainably grown and sourced from farmers in Palestine, and where possible these products also have organic and Fairtrade certification. 

Zaytoun olive oil, dates, almonds, and grains, as well as their soaps and Dead Sea bath salts are harvested or prepared by hand, and are a testament to the proud heritage and culinary traditions of the Palestinian people.
