Absolutely brilliant!! We debated buying this for at least a month but we finally took the plunge and by god we are so glad we did!! Since buying this kettle I would estimate we used to boil the kettle on average 8 times a day, which has now dropped to about 3 times a day and with the added electricity savings of ~30% less energy per boil than an average kettle I was completely sold!rnrnWe have had this beautiful product for 3 months now and I would say the only improvements I would suggest would be to reduce the weight as this could be quite difficult for the elderly especially when filled to a full 1.7 litres and a better handle for easier leverage with an attached lid this would be absolutely 10/10 but as a young family this is a much needed energy saver in a busy household.rnrnI would definitely recommend this product and I was absolutely blown away at how hot the water was after 4 hours from boiling!! rnrnThanks Vektra! Keep up the good work and help people do their bit for the environment! :-)
OK - so a month on, and the kettle seems to have calmed down somewhat! Still infuriates those who aren't used to pressing a button to release water from a kettle, but all the initial technical problems have appeared to have rectified themselves!
LOVE the concept - however in use it confuses the user - the release button on top is unclear and my model will regularly switch off anywhere near it reaches boiling point. rnIf someone else comes to use the kettle within the next 15/20 mins and is unaware you've boiled it , when you press the on button - nothing happens... which is not reassuring - so you have to presume it's hot. It would help if the button did something if only to alert that it's still hot enough. I don't think a guest has yet worked out the kettle without assistance! A shame - because it is such a good concept - It just needs some more R and D. rn

Thanks for the query. The kettle effectively keeps water hot for up to 4 hours, but there is nothing to stop you from reboiling in that time if you wanted to.

Q: Is there something on the kettle to indicate when it has boiled ? and also is there an indicator showing the volume of water in the kettle?
A: Hi there,
Many thanks for your query. There is an indicator light on the power button that will go off once the kettle has boiled. Unfortunately you can not see from the outside the level of the water due to the vacuum insulation of the kettle, it would not effectively keep the water hot if there was a water level indicator.
