Tonys Chocolonely

Tony’s Chocolonely exists to end exploitation in cocoa; forced labour, child labour and deforestation that is widespread in the cocoa supply chain in Ghana and Côte d’ Ivoire where 60% of the world’s cocoa comes from.

With our 5 Sourcing Principle model, we have proven that it is possible to make really tasty chocolate without exploiting cocoa farmers at the start of the value chain.

We lead by example by building direct, long-term relationships with cocoa farmers, paying them a higher price and working together to solve the underlying causes of exploitation within cocoa.  But we don’t want to just make our own chocolate free of exploitation, we exist to end exploitation in all cocoa and invite other companies to join Tony’s Open Chain and transform their cocoa supply chains and become sustainability frontrunners.
