New vegans are often horrified by the basil pestos on offer. Traditional pesto contains fresh basil, olive oil, parmesan cheese, pine nuts, garlic and salt. Most of the popular ones on the market contain all sorts of strange ingredients, I presume as a cost-cutting measure, such as cider vinegar and cashews, and taste awful. Sunita have taken the traditional pesto ingredients and merely omitted the cheese. It tastes fantastic, and if you add nutritional yeast flakes (which usually I'm not that keen on), it acquires a lovely extra dimension which I think of as cheesy but may not be (I've been vegan 13 years, I don't remember the taste of cheese!). The basil tastes good and fresh, and from what I gather from non-vegans, it's very close to traditional pesto in flavour. (Be warned, however, that Sunita produce a creamed basil in a very similar-looking jar, and for some reason that doesn't taste good at all.) Sunita's red pesto is also delicious. Few places stock this pesto, so I'd suggest stocking up while you can.
