Product Description

You don’t need green fingers to grow your very own Oyster mushrooms. Bouquets of Oyster mushrooms are waiting to burst out of this Espresso Mushroom kit: grown on the coffee from one hundred espressos! This kit is a great treat for you and your kids, and makes a perfect gift for green-fingered foodies or garden deprived city dwellers alike.

The kits are simple to use, reliable, and contain everything you need. Just find a light airy spot, follow the four simple steps and harvest your home-grown tasty Oyster mushrooms about two weeks later. The mushrooms love the coffee and grow beautifully in this typically-discarded resource, and don’t worry they don't taste of coffee, nor do they contain caffeine.

Each kitchen garden contains everything you need to grow oyster mushrooms on coffee grounds
Growbag; this contains the coffee, it looks white as the mushroom has effectively ‘taken root’ in the coffee and is now ready to grow out into a bouquet of oyster mushrooms
Eco – Spray pump – this is to water the mushrooms as they grow. It fits neatly onto most water / soft drink bottles so saves on plastic. If you don’t have a suitable bottle, you can simply spray from a glass of water!

Recipe Card – there are many ways to cook your mushrooms and you’ll have lots of time to think it about it while they grow, but if you’re stuck for ideas, check out our recipe!

Dimensions: 11 x 10 x 27 cm ; 953 g

Please note: we strongly recommend opening the Kitchen Garden within 1 month of purchase.

This was so much fun to do! They're a bit expensive but watching them grow was amazing and they tasted delicious.

Quite expensive but bought for my keen gardener mum as a quirky bday present. She is on her second crop from same box. And sent us daily pics of growth.

Q: After you harvest the mushrooms do more grow and if so how long will this process continue?

A: You should get your first harvest within 2 weeks. Typically you should expect two good sized harvests, then up to 4 in total, although the 3rd and 4th are less reliable, take longer and have less fruit as there are fewer nutrients left in the coffee.

After the first harvest, leave the Kitchen Garden to rest for 10 days then start again by soaking the growbag in water etc – although before you give it the soak, check for mini mushrooms that may be growing ‘unprompted’! It should then take up to 2 weeks for the next harvest.

I hope that helps,
