Chimney Sheep, founded by Sally Phillips in 2012, began with a simple yet ingenious solution: the Chimney Sheep® chimney draught excluder, crafted from Herdwick wool in a small workshop in Cumbria. Since then, the company has grown into a global provider of sustainable household and garden products, operating from its warehouse in Workington. While the Chimney Sheep® remains their flagship product, the company has expanded its range to include practical, eco-friendly items such as insulation, laundry products, and natural gardening tools. Committed to sustainability, Chimney Sheep focuses on creating products made from recycled, natural, or sustainable materials.
 
At the heart of Chimney Sheep's mission is their Community Interest Company, Buy Land Plant Trees (BLPT), which channels 10% of profits into tree planting projects on agriculturally poor land in Cumbria. The brand is passionate about making sustainable living accessible, believing that eco-friendly choices should never compromise practicality.
