Amnesty International's new Refugee Collection everyday cards showcase the passions and talents of artists from refugee and migrant backgrounds. The cards are made with responsibly sourced materials and printed in the UK using vegetable based inks.
Maria Tsymbal studied at the Lviv Academy of Art and Kyiv National University of Culture and Arts. Her main workshop was in the southern part of Ukraine, not far from the Black Sea coast. Her work captures the beauty of nature, inspired by the beautiful, picturesque and diverse surrounding world. Maria fled Ukraine in 2022 and now resides in the UK. Her work has recently been included in the exhibition 'Ukraine: one year on' hosted by World Vision UK. Mediums and techniques of her work include, oil painting, acrylic, pastel, palette knife, hot and cold batik (fabric painting), and neon painting with luminous paints.
