Triclosan is an ingredient used primarily as an antiseptic used to kill bacteria and can be found in many everyday products like soap, toothpaste, laundry detergent and deodorants. Recent studies have suggested that including antibacterials in soap doesn't actually reduce the spread of infections, and we can't be completely certain that Triclosan is completely safe for us to use.
