Ecozone Soap Nuts - 1kg

Amazing how well these last and how efficient they are. Would highly recommend.

I was sceptical, but they really do the job. I still put a tiny squirt of eco fabric softner in because this product is unscented, but they can be used multiple times and clean my day-to-day washing brilliantly. Makes lots of suds too!

I love using these as they're economical, but only for refreshing washes. Unfortunately, they're not the best at removing stains. Would recommend using washing perfume or conditioner as they don't smell good but that's not the point anyway.

Cheap effective washing without nasty chemicals and harsh smelling normaly associated with some laundry products and doesn't wash your clothes of their colours

I use these soap nuts for items which are washed more for refreshing than for removing stains although I am sure they would do this too. The clothes are always clean after washing with the soap nuts.

I have used these soapnuts before. They are easy and economical to use.

I am new to using the soap nuts which was recommended to me by a friend. So far I am very pleased with them

Love my little soap nuts. We don't usually have very soiled clothes, but if we have I'd add a few more nuts and some essential oils for lovely scent. Definitely recommend

Love those! Don't expect strong burst of artificial aroma on your washed items, and sometimes they don't manage well with eg. post-swimming-pool chlorine, but other then that no complains.

I tried these Soap Nuts not knowing much about them at all. I am so impressed. They clean, smell fresh, are economically brilliant and ecologically sound with the benefit of extending the life of my washing machine (no build up of gunge around the heating element). You really can't grumble at that. I am not sure about very soiled, may just need to adjust the amount used and the volume of washing per load. rnI will not use anything different from now on while I can choose.

I finally figured them out. Cold water!! I did a usual wash but at 30c and my colthes came out perfectly. I usually do 40c and it didnt reaaly get my clothes clean of foam up.

Used these, best usage us to stew 16 nuts to a ltr water, boil, then simmer for 20 mins, mash nuts, remake up a ltr again, use 50 mls of liquid .rnThat way the nuts don’t run out of cleaning power.rnThey are ok, not great fir heavy stained laundry, best for lightly stains stuff, even with stain remover

I was a little sceptical of these but I've been really impressed! rnThere isn't a fragrant smell as you get with most liquid detergents, but your clothes still come out smelling fresh. rnI wasn't sure whether it would get stains out of clothes easily, but it did a great job. rnThese are such good value for money, I'm so glad I took the plunge and ordered them!

I think these are brilliant and work very well on my own - even got pen marks out of a pair of light jeans. Impressed!

I used to use these years ago in Vermont. They came in little pouches. Glad to find them again

Excellent value for money. The trick is to use them in combination with other washing soap so you reduce the amount you use.

So far so good, gave it 4 stars as I've only got to use it a few times until now.

Absolutely love this product. I love the idea of being able to use these for multiple washes and then they can be composted. Very ethical. Creates lots of bubbles, doesn't give the clothes a smell when they've been washed but they come out clean. It would be something I'd be very happy to sacrifice to reduce plastic and to have something that biodegrades.

Really disappointed with these. The wash does not come out fresh smelling, it doesn't seem clean at all. No use on mens gym kit, pants or work shirts - they still smell afterwards. I tried 30 and 40 degree cycles, reducing the load, adding 2 bags of nuts, with and without fabric softener, but nothing made these work better. Also confused about the Q&A on this product which suggests "the soap nuts should dissipate during the wash cycle, leaving the pouch empty". This goes against the product info which states the nuts can be re-used up to 4 times.

I love the soap nuts. Very surprise at how many suds are produced. Everything comes out clean and fresh, even white shirts. We have soft water so no experience with them in hard water areas. Have already recommended to several people.

I had high hope of these and at first washing sheets & towels they seemed OK but I'm afraid when it came to my teenage son's t-shirts, shorts & shirts they really didn't work - everything still smelled of teenage sweat and it all had to be washed again with washing liquid. I would not recommend for anything really dirty or that has been sweated in, and now I have doubts about whether it was actually cleaning the other stuff too. So I feel I've wasted my money & I won't be buying again.

These work really well and avoid all the mess of laundry liquids, and also saves all the nasty chemicals.

i love soap nuts. effective cleaning and last for ages. if i want a bit of fragrance i just add a tiny bit of essential oil to the wash.

These magical little nuts are a real game changer for me! I first tried them a few years ago, where I put them straight into the washing machine in the little bag, and was a bit disappointed, they didn't get soapy because I use a cool wash on my machine, and for the soapy substance to be released they need hot water. SO....I went online recently, desperate to get these things to work for me as they are by FAR the most environmentally friendly way to wash your clothes, and found that in areas of hard water, and cool washes they soap nuts need a little more help. I therefore made a soap nut detergent by boiling up 20 soap nuts in about 3 cups of water for 30 minutes - (this is easier than it sounds, I just put it on when I was making my breakfast). The soapy brown liquid can then be sieved and decanted into a bottle or jar (I also added 20 drops of lavender essential oil here to make it smell nice) and can be kept in the fridge for about 2 weeks - it takes only 2-3 tablespoons in a large laundry load. Its been fantastic cleaning all colours! Very pleased!! Try this if you haven't had much luck with them in the past!!

Great product. Do the job very well. One small minus PLEASE swap this plastic insert for something more environment friendly.It will last so long that counting bags and boxes I could use it is small minus.

I ordered these soap nuts believing I was helping to do my bit for the planet by reducing my reliance on plastic. Disappointingly, inside the lovely natural little bag - a plastic bag! Part of the ethics of Ecozone is apparently to reduce plastic? After giving feedback to the supplier of the product, Ecozone stated that the bag is a "minigrip biodegradable water clear polybag, which will biodegrade in less than a year." Sorry but polythene does not biodegrade and this information is misleading so I won't be buying from Ecozone again. I have since found a UK company who supplies them in a compostable bag :)

I like the eco credentials and the fact that the last lot I had (1kg) lasted a year, thus making them very economical. I have started to add a tablespoon of washing soda to the wash as this seems to improve the wash.

Eco way of doing the washing, leaves the clothes smelling clean but if you want fragrance you'll have to use a fabric softener which defeats the purpose of the product. Would recommend for lightly soiled items

Washing clothes, everyone should try it!

Used these for years and they really do last a long time. They seem to do quite a good job at cleaning, but not great on stains or heavily soiled items. I also miss fragrance, but that's a personal thing. I add some essential oils to freshen it up. I stopped using them though as they are a pain to decant etc.

Very satisfied. I tried homemade washing products but it would smell a bit. With the nuts, nothing, it is perfect !!

I have found these washing nuts to be very adequate, clothes clean, fresh and some stains removed. I will now always use these.

Mostly good at cleaning clothes except stubborn stains.

Really have enjoyed using these so far and wowed by how long they last. Sadly the little mesh bag that come with this that you put into the wash to hold the soap nuts ripped a hole after the first use. Have patched it up with a rubber band which seems to be holding it together so far.

I too am impressed by this product, although I only use it for light to moderate soiling...if something is heavily stained, especially with certain foods, then I find it leaves a shadow. ...but the mesh bags definitely need to be a stronger weave or material..one of my bags has ripped open and the other is forming a hole already.

I've been using these for a few months now - love that they last for ages and there's very little packaging. Only improvement would be to make the mesh bags a little bit stronger - both mine have ripped already.

So much better and way way cheaper than using detergent to wash my clothes. Easy to use in the washing machine as well.

Absolutely brilliant product. Even though the are not scented, the leave a very fresh smell on clothes, much better than heavily perfumed products! Definitely recommend!

Have been using soap nuts for years now. As someone who is allergic to laundry detergents, these have been essential.
