Tore

Tore, launched by SockShop, is notable for being the first to produce socks entirely from recycled materials. The brand's name, an acronym for "TOtally REcycled," reflects its commitment to sustainability. Tore's products are made from recycled cotton, polyester, and polyamide, sourced from consumer waste like yarn scraps and plastic bottles. Even the elastane used for stretch is recycled. The packaging is eco-friendly, utilising recycled paper and cornstarch-based plastic alternatives. Each pack of Tore socks reportedly saves two years' worth of drinking water and diverts 2.4 plastic bottles and 0.6 T-shirts from landfills. Beyond their environmental benefits, Tore emphasises comfort, durability, and hypoallergenic properties in their products.
