Q: Could you tell me the process used to extract the oil, please?
A: Granovita has sent us this desciption of the oil extraction process:
"GranoVita’s oils are all cold pressed and processed as little as possible in order to retain the optimum nutritional value of the seed. As flaxseed is a natural product taste, colour and odour can vary, depending upon such factors as the nature of the crop and the time at which it was harvested.
"The flaxseed used is specially selected for quality and then is processed through “state of the art” cold press machines, which ensures most of the nutrients are retained in the oil.
"The extracted oil goes into chilled stainless steel containers and capped with nitrogen (to ensure the freshness of the oil) it is also protected from UV light.
"The fresh filtered oil is then stored in food grade barrels in a specially designed cold store to await dispatch.
"The bottles are nitrogen flushed to expel oxygen (nitrogen used is food grade).
"Granovita flax oil is ambient stable until opened, at which point it as to be refrigerated. It does not have to be refrigerated until opened because of the way that the product is sealed into the bottle during production."
I hope this helps, Jo.

Q: can i just drink it fresh in the morning and if i can how many mls per day,i ised to take capsules but now i would like to drink it fresh like alevera drink,or can i mix it in ale vera drink.plse advise, thanks sarah
A: Hi Sarah. It's recommended to take Flax Oil with food. You could try mixing it with juices and other drinks (aloe vera would be fine), and we've heard the nutty, buttery flavour complements cottage cheese, yoghurt and other similar foods.
As for dosage, we recommend you consult your doctor or nurse on how much to take daily, but we have heard from others that a tablespoon a day works well.
I hope this helps. Robyn.

Q: I want to know is this product safe as i am 8 weeks pregnant?
A: Hi, we have heard that flax oil is not recommended for pregnant women, but we recommend you speak to your GP about this as we're unable to give medical advice. Thanks, Robyn.
