As other reviewers have mentioned, you can taste the oils used to make it a soap, and they leave an aftertaste. A lovely idea though - if it tasted nicer it would last forever! We use toothpaste tablets now and much prefer them.
Georganics Natural Toothsoap English Peppermint foams up really nicely. Do not use too much as it is a little abrasive. Although my first taste of made me think "soap!", the peppermint taste helps you overcome that in a couple of days. I have been using it for a year - it's very economical because it lasts a eally long time for the price you pay. I have cut mine up into two chunks and apply the water to the chunk. This is so that the cardboard doesn't get foamy!

Reminds me of my dads old shaving stick.rnGreat fun and easy to use, Lathers up without needing too much water. Slightly funky, but not unpleasant taste. Once sufficient quantity is on the toothbrush it brushes well onto teeth and leaves a long lasting clean taste.rnObviously different to other brands of toothpaste readily available in most shops but I like it.rn I would advise caution if children use it purely because the tube is made of card and needs to be kept dry.rnWorth giving this a go.
