Product Description

Made from 100% pure organic cotton, this gorgeous blue gingham school dress is a perfect lightweight option for summer school uniforms. It is beautifully designed with many lovely features including gathered detailing, a stylish bow and lace trim. It is a regular fit knee length dress with short sleeves and also has 2 side pockets and a button fastening. As organic cotton is not treated with chemicals to prevent shrinkage, after the 1st wash the garment will shrink by up to 5% but the dress is cut more generously to allow for this shrinkage. Wash before use at 30C.

EcoOutfitters is a new ethical, sustainable school uniform company set up by two mothers who are passionate about improving the standards of school uniforms that our children spend so much time in. It came about after their children started school and they realised that most of their school clothes contained dangerous chemicals treated with stain resistant, crease resistant Teflon coatings, which can be harmful for health and the environment.

Children wear their uniforms for at least 35 hours a week, so these are the most used items of clothing in their wardrobe. Unfortunately, most school outfits are made from either a polycotton mix or plain polyester, which is essentially plastic - a substance derived directly from crude oil. These common fabrics aren't sweat absorbent, don't allow the skin to breathe, and can trigger rashes and aggravate skin conditions such as eczema.

To address this, EcoOutfitters developed a range of school uniforms which are ethically made, healthy, sustainable, and durable too - all made from 100% pure organic cotton certified by GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standards), which guarantees that the whole supply chain from field to final product meets rigorous environmental and social standards.

  • Standard UK Delivery - £4.95
    Delivered via Evri courier. UK orders will normally be received within 5 working days. Choose this option if you're not in a hurry to receive your order and we'll use the most efficient delivery method possible.
  • Express Delivery - £7.95 (Only available for UK delivery)
    Delivered via DPD courier, requires a signature upon delivery. Delivery next working day for orders placed before 2pm (Mon-Fri). This method will require a signature, please ensure somebody will be available to sign. You will also receive tracking alerts via SMS/email from DPD to keep you updated on your delivery.
  • On orders over £50 standard delivery is FREE and next day delivery is only £5.95
