Cornish Seaweed Company

Since 2012, The Cornish Seaweed Company has been dedicated to bringing the ocean's bounty to your table, born from a love of the sea and a passion for healthy living, they sustainably harvest local, edible seaweeds from the pristine Cornish coast. Their mission is to provide a delicious and nutritious alternative food source that’s as good for the environment as it is for your health. Seaweed, a true superfood, grows without pesticides, fresh water, or fertilisers, making it one of the most sustainable crops on the planet. From harvesting to packaging, every step of their process is done by hand to ensure exceptional quality.

Their gentle "haircut" harvesting method allows seaweed to regrow naturally, maintaining a balance between human use and marine life sustainability. In 2017, they launched England’s first seaweed farm, combining traditional methods with cutting-edge research in collaboration with the University of Exeter and the Marine Biological Association. This farm acts as an artificial reef, supporting biodiversity and commercial fish species. Recognised with the Cornish Sustainability Award, they are committed to making seaweed a staple in every kitchen, celebrating its role as both a nutritional powerhouse and an environmental hero.
