A Blackbird Sang

A Blackbird Sang was founded in Oxfordshire in 2016 by artists and conservations Genny and Tony. Together they seek to combine high-quality designs with sustainability and eco-friendliness, using traditional craft techniques and building things to last. The company name is drawn from a poem by Edward Thomas, reflecting the inspiration they find in nature, art and poetry. 

Conserving nature and minimising their environmental impact is a central tenet of the business. Nearly all of their products are made in the UK. Packaging is minimal and plastic-free, mostly using recycled cardboard with as little printing as possible - even the tape they use is made from paper with water-based glue.
