The first time I got this product, I was a tad unsure - it wasn't as soft as paper made from bamboo, then I compared it to another well known product also recycled and I preferred it. For a medical reason, I need to break some of it into individual sheets and the other product frequently split vertically, whereas this one was more robust. I also like that it doesn't travel thousands of miles to get here, but I'd like it to be more closely packed on each roll.

Only double-ply but is a larger width than say the likes of Cheeky Panda and so does the job and Personally have not found that more is used over other brands. rnrnEcoLeaf has the edge on Cheeky Panda and other Bamboo-based producers for me, because it's a UK-based company and is manufactured locally on UK shores recycling locally sourced paper; so the carbon-impact has to be lower than shipping over bamboo-derived alternative eco-options from those places in the World that have the habitat to grow bamboo.rnrnOn the plastic (recycled) packaging, I send all packaging of this type to my local big supermarkets that typically have bins specifically for plastic bags and film. Although I haven't confirmed this I'm pretty sure that the recycling bins are collected by private recycling firms and not the council???

Recycled & recyclable packaging but most councils won’t accept it to recycle so it ends up in the bin. It’s a shame they can’t just produce and deliver it unpackaged besides the cardboard box it’s in
I am very disappointed that the cas of toilet rolls contains 5 lots of wrapped rolls. I am trying to avoid plastic wrapping so will not be buying. Why cant i buy 60 rolls in a cardboard box, no wrapping?
Love ecoleaf so decided to do a massive 12x5 pack delivery to save postage etc but it all came wrapped in plastic which should be highlighted because clearly people using the products here want to avoid waste and especially plastic. I am so upset about it as the sole reason I chose ecoleaf is because of the compostable packaging and UK production.

The toilet paper itself is fine, but I won't buy it again because of the plastic wrapping. It says it's recyclable, but my council won't recycle it and that's the same for most/all councils. I'll look for ones that are wrapped in paper or card, which are easily recyclable.
Have tried a few recycled toilet tissue brands and this has been the worst. Very thin and rough. Even worse, the big pack is wrapped in plastic! Won't be purchasing again.
Love the recycled paper and the potato starch packaging of the smaller products. But very disappointed this particular product uses a plastic exterior, even if it is recycled.
It’s a shame that this comes in plastic wrapping.

This paper is very good considering it's recycled. It does feel a lot thinner than non-recycled brands and isn't as soft but feel it is much stronger and don't use as much. I agree with other reviewers that the inner tubes could be much smaller in diameter to save even more materials and the paper could be wound closer to reduce space but this is just me being picky!rnTry this paper, and persevere with it - it's a definite step in the right direction to being a bit more eco-friendly.

Thin, but on experimentally soaking liquid with same quantity to squares, this was as good as the cheap stuff we normally used. So we will continue using it. This stuff used to be flimsy and rubbish a few years back so i gave up buying it. Bought this last week and its brilliant. Much better than Andrex and Tesco/Sainsbury own brand which is what I usually buy and it fits on my little toilet paper pole from Ikea again. A well deserved 10/10 on quality and price.

Why is it still possible to buy toilet paper made from trees (even FSC ones)? The more people who buy recycled products, the more of a market there will be and the more easy it will be for everyone to recycle. I urge everyone to try and buy ONLY 100% recycled toilet (and other) paper. It works!

These toilet rolls don't seem to last quite as long, but if you buy the larger packs, such as the 12's, then they represent good value for money. We would much rather buy this product than those found in the supermarket.
