‘Made in the UK' encompasses products manufactured and sold in the UK in which the majority of the value of the product is created or added in the UK. We believe this is positive on several levels:
- The materials and products have less far to travel to get you you, so have used less fuel and caused less environmental damage as a result
- UK factories have to meet some of the highest pollution control standards in the world
- UK workplaces are better for workers than those in many other countries where similar products are made
- Buying British supports the economy and especially the smaller family business that we tend to buy from
