Product Description

This delightful red gingham school dress is the model lightweight option for summer school uniforms and is made from 100% pure organic cotton. It is charmingly designed with many appealing features including gathered detailing, lace trim and a stylish bow. It is a regular fit knee length dress with short sleeves and also has a button fastening and 2 side pockets. Organic cotton is not treated with any chemicals to stop shrinkage, therefore, the garment will shrink by up to 5% after the 1st wash (Wash before use at 30C) but the dress is cut more generously to allow for this. Iron whilst garment is slightly damp and place a cloth over your garment to reduce sheen.

EcoOutfitters is a new ethical, sustainable school uniform company set up by two mothers who are passionate about improving the standards of school uniforms that our children spend so much time in. It came about after their children started school and they realised that most of their school clothes contained dangerous chemicals treated with stain resistant, crease resistant Teflon coatings, which can be harmful for health and the environment.

Children wear their uniforms for at least 35 hours a week, so these are the most used items of clothing in their wardrobe. Unfortunately, most school outfits are made from either a polycotton mix or plain polyester, which is essentially plastic - a substance derived directly from crude oil. These common fabrics aren't sweat absorbent, don't allow the skin to breathe, and can trigger rashes and aggravate skin conditions such as eczema.

To address this, EcoOutfitters developed a range of school uniforms which are ethically made, healthy, sustainable, and durable too - all made from 100% pure organic cotton certified by GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standards), which guarantees that the whole supply chain from field to final product meets rigorous environmental and social standards.

    Delivered via Evri courier. UK orders will normally be received within 5 working days. Choose this option if you're not in a hurry to receive your order and we'll use the most efficient delivery method possible.
  • Express Delivery - £7.95 (Only available for UK delivery)
    Delivered via DPD courier, requires a signature upon delivery. Delivery next working day for orders placed before 2pm (Mon-Fri). This method will require a signature, please ensure somebody will be available to sign. You will also receive tracking alerts via SMS/email from DPD to keep you updated on your delivery.
  • On orders over £50 standard delivery is FREE and next day delivery is only £5.95
