Black & Blum Eau Good Glass Water Bottle - 650ml

Enjoy delicious tasting tap water with this hand-blown glass water bottle and Binchotan charcoal filter from Black & Blum. Designed to reduce the need for buying water in plastic bottles and to minimise plastic waste, the bottle is made from borosilicate glass with a natural cork and silicone stopper held in place by a stainless steel ring to prevent leaks. With a handy fabric loop making it easy to carry, along with a protective neoprene sleeve, the lightweight borosilicate glass water bottle is great for on the go.

The included Binchotan charcoal water filter is made from sustainably sourced wood and is renowned for its ability to soften water, add good minerals and absorb unwanted tastes and odours such as chlorine. One filter will last up to 6 months and during that time can be boiled to recharge if you notice a decline in taste. Please make sure your bottle is filled up when placing your charcoal to avoid any breakages.

We advise to wash the bottle by hand with hot soapy water and a bottle brush. Although the bottle and metal clamp are dishwasher safe, the fabric tag will not withstand frequent dishwashes. The silicone seal on the cork can be removed and is dishwasher safe. The cork is not dishwasher safe. Please remove the binchotan from the bottle before washing with soap.

Your binchotan charcoal is already washed and ready to use. Please do not wash with detergent or soap.

To prevent mould forming on the silicone stopper make sure you do not leave water sitting in your bottle, when you are not using it (for more than one day). Remove the stopper and allow it dry out. When water is left in the bottle for long periods of time, mould spores can form. The binchotan charcoal removes the chlorine from drinking water, so you might notice it forming even quicker than normal. This is nothing to worry about, as long as you are refilling regularly, cleaning the bottle regularly and not drinking stale water that has been sitting in the bottle for more than a day.

To clean mould from the silicone stopper we recommend using neat lemon juice, followed by boiling water, to kill and wash away mould that has formed on the silicone.
