Spent 10 minutes trying to get the lid back on the filled feeder and gave up, I then resorted to putting string through it and tying it to the tree. It lasted 1 day, I am assuming a squirrel gnawed through the string. I found the empty feeder on the ground, and the base had come away from it. It was thrown away. I should have known better, it was cheaply made and unnecessary plastic waste created. Do not recommend.
