Q: This might seem like a really obvious question but other than the cost and the number of washes it does what is the difference between these and the ecozone balls?
A: They are both produced by the same manufacturer but this product is aimed at providing a lower price point for customers who may want to try the product out but were deterred by the higher cost of the original 3 ball version.
Both use the same cleaning principles but the formulation is adjusted in this product - to deliver the same cleaning performance as 3 balls with just 2 - the downside of this is that they don't manage as many washing cycles as the original version before requiring a refill (hence the cost per wash is on average 8p rather than around 3p with the original version)

Q: I have a set of 3 ecoballs and I am really impressed with how well they wash. My question is there are no clear instructions about how to refill them. In fact the instructions inside the box tell you not to try to open them but to throw them away afterwards!!! Which is weird as they come with 2 packets of refills. Can you shed light on this?
A: The Ecoballs are indeed designed to be refilled. The manufacturer's instructions for refilling recommend that you open each unit by first removing the sponge ring and the screw from the centre, and then you ought to be able to unscrew the two halves. If the Ecoball is still hard to open, tap the rim against a hard surface and try again. After refilling, be sure to put the unit back together tightly. I hope this helps! Jo.
