Bought one of these - or a similar one. A few years ago and still use it on a pretty much daily basis.
OK it can only staple 3 pages at once but double sided photocopying takes care of most of that. Not only is it easier to recycle the paper as there is no fiddling undoing staples but it saves time not having to reload the stapler and also money not having to buy them. May not sound like a lot of money saved but I used to get through 200-300 staples a month so it does add up.

I’ve just bought this brilliant eco-stapler. It does just what it says – clips together a maximum of 3 pages (any more causes a jam – I tried!). If I need to staple more than 3 pages at a time, I just do this in batches of 3. Apart from looking snazzy (a bit like a tiny Sydney Opera House), and being made from eco-friendly P.E.T, it’s fun to use, cleverly cutting a little tag of paper that loops back on itself through a punched hole. What I like most about this product is that it not only removes the need for staples, but makes recycling hassle-free too – no need to fiddle with staple removal before shredding or recycling. I have now found lots of excuses to eco-staple paper together, including pages of articles I want to keep from weekend magazines and scraps of paper I can reuse for shopping lists. Though I have bought my eco-stapler for home use, I’m sure that the decision to stock an office out with eco-staplers would pay for itself in no time at all – and make the annoyance of searching for replacement staples and fiddling about with refilling a thing of the past. An ingenious and highly recommended bit of eco-kit.

Nice idea, but it doesn't do a good enough job.
I have gone back to using a normal stapler and the two I bought have been sent to a rubbish tip... Waste of time and money.
